Her Story
Gaudence Mukankuranga
With my four children, my husband left me for another woman. As we live in a village, life was not easy. I had to cultivate for others to provide for my family. When Abahizi Rwanda started in 2013, I applied for a job and I was accepted. I started earning money, I benefited from the life skills program. I learned about saving and I worked with banks. I managed to build my own house. My two children got married, the first-born lives with me, and the last-born studies in high school. I am able to take care of them and myself, I am happy. For now, I got a promotion and I am a Team Leader and all is well with me. I am really grateful to the existence of Abahizi Rwanda with everything they are doing.”
