We pay reliable, monthly salaries to our workers, which shifts their financial mentality from focusing on day-to-day survival to one of economic stability. This shift results in more savings culture, more financial planning, and more disposable money flowing through the community more consistently. From new shops opening due to increased purchasing power to a stronger tax base, we see commerce growing and rippling through our community.

Our employees have become community leaders in their own right. Additionally, we have opened our life skills programming to the broader community, and we work to hire members of the community on day labor projects, while building relationships with other community leaders. We are also in the process of developing a visitation program so members of the community can learn more about what happens at our factory.

Through our client's philanthropic investment, the community of Masoro received community impact projects to improve in areas of health, education, and economy. In these, our employees and their families benefited from the renovation and expansion of the Masoro Health Center as well as the construction of the Isooko Community Development. Inspired by and learning from our Life Skills program and reaching the wider community, the ICD provides programs in nutrition, mental and physical wellbeing, economic empowerment, computer literacy, leadership, and library services. Currently, the center serves about 9K community members, 56% of whom are women.
